Club Activities
Monthly general meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month except for July and August. These meetings are open to the public! We also organize an impressive number of other activities such as educational seminars, public outreach events, as well as group observing sessions throughout the year.

Club Events Calendar
Our club has received a LX200 8" from an anonymous donor!
We've all heard the "baby in a basket" story. Well, one of our members (Bert) visited the observatory a few weeks ago and found a LX200 telescope in the driveway. It had a note saying that it was being donated.
The hand controller needs some work but the optics are in pristine condition.

RASC Hamilton uses a "web application" Event Calendar to keep everyone up-to-date in real-time. Our preferred, (updated more frequently) calendar is part of our RASC Hamilton Yahoo Group. You dodn't need to be a member of the Yahoo Group but you do need to login with your "Yahoo Identity" to view the Event Calendar.
If you do NOT have a Yahoo Login, we also maintain a Facebook Event Calendar and no login is required.
Some of our events are dependant on clear skies and we use the Event Calendar as well as message postings on our Yahoo and Facebook websites to announce event status... GO or NO-GO
